Reporting to Commercial Operations Director, you will support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the sales process. Serve as a key technical resource for the Asia region. This position is based at Surabaya, Indonesia or Malaysia.

Your responsibilities
- Providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations.
- Working in collaboration with other Application Engineers (AE) within their domain (i.e. Controls, Electrical, Telco, etc.).
- Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs. Proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.
- Offering technical advice, consulting and providing comment to support in early engagement, conceptual studies, FEED, and on enquiry specifications for customers/Account Managers with regards to ABB’s integrated Electrification, Controls, Telecommunications & Digital (ECTD) solutions.
- Offering product/solution/service-related training. Preparing and checking technical articles for publication.
- Engineering degree and 10+ years of
- 10+ years of experience in technical function of power and water segment.
- Experience in Asia Pacific customer base in Energy segment.
- International, cross-BU and cross-division experience, fluent in English
