Project Scheduler

Job Description :

A project scheduler should have in depth knowledge and familiarize with planning software MS project and Primavera P6. Have a deep understanding of the basic principles of the project scheduling, engineering, good eye for detail, advanced mathematical skills, methodical approach, good interpersonal skills, people understanding and ability to support the project management team. In this role, a project scheduler will be collaborating with project managers, engineers, site engineer in setting up tasks, prepare and monitoring the execution of project timelines. Project scheduler will be required to prepare project schedule forecast, progress assessment, schedule analysis and performance evaluation reports.

Broad knowledge in MS office software, having good communication in English, certification in Project Scheduling will be advantageous. This role will be based in Jakarta but travelling will be required from time to time to project sites.

Requirement :
  • S1/bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Civil / Structural preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry with proven work experience
  • Good proficiency in project scheduling software, Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Certification as scheduling professional will be advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge in project management
  • Basic experience in Industrial heavy engineering, engineering study and construction execution
  • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management, during the project life cycle
  • Ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions. Raise any concern and risks to project team
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal skills, team player and self-motivated
  • Ability to process the data from scheduling software to MS office
  • Good analytical and computer skills
  • Good communication in English including verbal and written communication skills
  • Good skill in MS Excel and fully versed with MS Office suite of software (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Project Scheduler Responsibilities:
  • Understanding the scope and scale of the project
  • Where required undertake travel to job sites to gather information on materials, labour and other factors to build the schedule
  • Collaboration with engineers, contractors and other service provider
  • Consult with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks
  • Consulting with the Beca subject matter experts for improvement of the project schedule
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines – accommodate updates and changes to project schedules
  • Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
  • Prepare resource loading to project schedule
  • Responsible to set up earned value calculations as a basis for progress plan and measurement
  • Recommending actions to keep projects within completed on time
  • Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines
  • Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records
  • Active input with project management team for the development of procurement and contract packages
